Yes, I always find it hard to believe that the people around them let it get so far out of hand. I mean after you lived through some heavy stuff in your life (loss and such things) you won't shoot over the finishline. Those experiences serve as failsafes against "power". (gawd, i think i could write an essay on this subject.)

Like it's "the price" of fame. The shit that gets done to their minds. As Rossanne Burr says, "Mk ultra rules in hollywood"

Still, some celebrities face idiotic measures of pressure - mostly unneeded too. What I never understood is this, why have the mental meltdowns in public, sure you can't control them if they come, but you should seek help in friends or family or a psychiatrist for that matter days or even weeks before this happens. Celebs know their limits before breaking, everyone gets a feel of this if they ever stood on a podium. Public pressure has many forms, but ahhh im blabbering.

From what I have been told, they generally do try to get these meltdowns under control before the public seems them, but it is simply not always possible. I suppose as they say, "there's no such thing as bad publicity" (strictly speaking not true but...they can always blame it on drugs I guess)
