Very rare, and if so, personally and elective affinity related.
One dream I remembered because it was so un-spectacular. It was about me and my first relationship, and years after, the dream scene actually occurred.
When I do realize I am dreaming / enter a lucid state, I usually wake up immediately.

Hey so this popped up on glp. I can't reply though, I've been banned for months.
"Not going to explain how it is possible or what "enabled" means. That in itself would be dangerous.
A simple explanation....
You are in the present, your consciousness exists from your first spark of awareness until your consciousness in this world ends, with enabling from your future self you are able to choose to exchange consciousness with your future self at any point in time in YOUR future. Each exchange provides you with up to approximately 16 hours in that time selection.
From that future time (could be hours ahead, days, months or years depending on how long your lifespan is) you are yourself, your future self, you can interact with all of your abilities, senses, etc in that time. You can retrieve information from that time (memories only) and return to the present. The problem is, anything you change can cause often dangerous and destructive consequences, either in your present or future, and not just for you. Got it?
Let's say you've had this ability for a few years, and even created a way to exchange consciousness with yourself in your past, and your future, and with this ability you have altered destinies and the consequences have been severe, you have attempted to undo the damage but ultimately only made things worse. Leaving a dangerously unstable timeline. What would you do?
There is only one possible fix, in the past. Doing that one act in the past will bring it all to an end, everything from that point on that you have done will no longer be possible, you erase your future from your unaltered past, along with everything you have changed in time, this present will no longer exist, nor all of the alternative timelines you created. Everything goes back to what it should have been before the changes.
So, would you do it?"
This is the exact expositional plotline of steins;gate. There's even a movie called "load region of deja vu"
Highly recommend it! I actually just watched it not even a couple weeks ago.
Even still, I don't think that time-travel works as logically as that post describes.

I had a precognitive dream recently where somebody in the program called me smelly, and I woke up and the nurse told me I had to shower because I had a slight odor.

I've had a lot of moments that I have called "pre-deja-vu" but I am sure there is a better name. Feeling like I have "been there before" in this moment similar to deja vu but with an added pre-cognitive sense of what happens...which is usually only like 5-10 minutes. It's always really oddly boring things...like driving and feeling like something is about to cross my path (say a basketball rolls across the street half a block away) then another few blocks of driving and it really happens.
Had a lot of odd dream like visions/lucid dreaming but I've never had good control of it nor spent much time trying to gain control.

The needle point line between the genius of knowing and insanity is sharp and tiny. I feel the same way about the shift happening around us every day. Things that are odd and very few seem to pick up on. I live in the same area that I grew up in. Moved away for years then came back. Oddly, in the past few years I have continued to notice the moon behaving differently. Have always loved the moon, not a single scientific source or research station reports strange lunar behavior. Yet, why do my husband, myself, and even my friends mention the moon being in odd places or seeming like it moved in the sky?!
