I'm writing this partially because I read Ben's post in the Nobody Thread about this subject. 
I invest a little in Bitcoin and in Ether, but this is not the purpose of my post. The purpose is to continue Ben's discussion of the block chain and its relationship to our reality -to our creative ability and to time streams.
What is time exactly? I propose that it is a series of events - a stream and a flow. The way my cats tell time is when certain events happen. For instance, they know that when my son gets home from school, it's time for them to be fed. It doesn't matter if some days he has early release lol. They see him walk in, they meow for food. Cause begets effect begets cause and time is created as each moment is experienced and linked in the chain.
This is how the block chain works - as Ben has described so eloquently.
Something new that has arisen recently in the cryptocurrency scene is a platform called Ethereum, which uses energy/money as an input called "Ether." The platform allows programmers to build programs using block chain technology as a base.
I am tying this into my spiritual understanding in two ways: 1. Reality in Time is a block chain and 2. Everything is created from Aether. Aether is the 5th element. It is the dark energy of potential, and now there is a technological platform called "Ethereum" mimicking organic creation and allowing for exponential growth - aka uncontrolled chaos of growth in a digital format - open and available to everyone.
Hmmm we are in very interesting times, indeed. It seems as if we are about to burst out into something new.
