People understood that to inflict pain on their enemy, would only lead to pain being inflicted on themselves. It was a simple set up, where the only rule was golden.

There is a tale told, of a knight who was granted/cursed with immortality. Being of good character, he sought to use his gifts to better the world. Much to his dismay, it soon became apparent for every noble deed he did, an equal evil would arise to balance out his actions. Weary, and heartbroken, he retreated from the world, blaming himself for the atrocities commited.
Much time passed...until a cry reached his ear and brought him out of his contemplation. A great evil had descended upon the innocent village near his retreat. Having never removed his heart, he could not stand idly by as children's tear moistened the earth, and so strode into combat. Having won the day, he retreated before the villages praise could be showered on him, for his heart was broken at the thought of the evil that would be committed to balance...
He waited...
And waited...
Yet no such balance came...
It was then his eyes were opened.
....he could be the balance...

Aether - There is a van parked across the street from the school, windows tinted dark. Occasionally flashes of light can be seen coming from the van. Inside, it is believed an old man shelters with his camera with the occasional candy wrapper found outside the van.
Chrisp - 11th grade science wizard. Currently running an underground syndicate supplying the schools athletes with a top of the line growth stimulant which has the street name Flexible. Keeps a low profile and is rumoured to be conducting out of this world quantum experiments.
OYE - Special Ed student named Alex. Top of the class

Sol - Recently employed school bodyguard. Currently under investigation for locking a few of the bullies in the girls toilet. Has two assault charges pending against other bullies. Currently these bullies are still in a coma but the recorded footage does not look good for the security guard. Meanwhile, dozens of grandmas home-style peach cobbler have been arriving at the schools security booth with notes saying 'thank you'. A photo has been included of the security guard
