Digital Death Experience (DDE) Mechanism - Red FlashSee the attached file below. It is a screenshot image of in-game digital death experience (dde) in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive game, deathmatch session with some players and bots. Do you notice the reddish colour all over the image? It flashes on and off everytime players including myself die. I'd imagine it could cause some kinds of emotional feeling in players on either conscious or sub-conscious level. To me the red is associated with some different meanings like aggressive, bad result, failure, final warning, etc... How do I feel and think everytime I die? I'd think; "fuck shit" but at the same time I'm used to it. But still... why it is included in the latest version of the game? Obviously the game developers / designers know the psychology behind use of varying game mechanics, including the dde mechanism. Is it possible that they are developing some kind of occult magic based games without knowing it or themselves as being occultists? I should note that when players including myself get resurrected or reloaded, I'd get a blueish colour all over screen. Red (death) and blue (alive). Honestly, I don't really see nothing wrong with dde mechanism as part of the game. I'm merely pointing it out for all to see purely for educational/entertaining value or something like that. View Attachment Red vs Blue feels like its been a theme for me lately. I guess that's sort of the archetypal battle. Red is blood, danger, boldness, valor, courage, fire, death. Blue is peace, water, dreams, coolness, healing, mind... It's a fire v water thing. The game does want to psychologically prime you against death, for instance. With CS:GO I have always wondered more if it's farmed by intelligence ops for potential recruits.

Fire and Water had two meanings each in the Proto-Indo-European languages. A passive and an active trait for each. Sadly this has been lost in translation thousands of years ago.

edited: this is from aura colours impressed on me years ago.
The grey represents wise, balance, nearly god, misty, able to shift or pass through anything
Blue = goodness, protection, highly absorbing capacity,
Red = aggressive, brave, striking,
Black = extremely powerful, blunty smash, and is all of many colours in one, but too much of it can destroy one within
White = extremely powerful, serenity, peaceful, smoothing, but too much of it can dissipate one all spread wide losing essence in the process
green = nature, earthy powers, healing,
brown = similar to green but very earthy and natural processes in a bit of everything, end-results
yellow = alerting, warning, zesty and wake up call, high energetic colour
purple = peaceful death,
pink = similar to blue but extremely love and protection, and has a bit of red abilities if needed.
orange = similar to yellow but highly charged energy and is in short supply

This is a great breakdown. Except your purple seems a little incomplete. I think purple is royal, regal, highly esoteric, majestic. My favorite color was grey for a very long time for exactly the reasons you described. But I've taken my 'grey' a step further - it was very logical to do, and I don't know why it took me so long. So instead of grey now, my favorite color is the 'luminous grey' - silver.

I think I was influenced by that (I used to read some comic books about Thanos being obsessing too much about Death) Well with a name like Thanos, I can't say I'm surprised. I do see what you mean though. Funny, I had never really related Purple to death before. But purple is certainly a big ritual color. I do relate purple to Saturn and Chronos, time and that kind of thing though. I guess that's kind of a death thing. What was the context in that comic?

Idk to be honest. I didn't read that particular comic book. I do remember he was dying of cancer.

Thanatos and Athanasia. Awww what a lovestory that was! <3 1. athanasia is primarily a literary term meaning "immortality." This belongs properly to the gods. Wethe the sould is immortal is debated. The school of Plato adopts this view. In Hellenism the demand for it is great but belief in it meager. Pantheistic Stoicism finds impersonal immortality in the consmos, while individual immortality is sought in the mysteries, magic, and mysticism. This immortality is more than duration; it is participation in the blissful divine nature, i.e. divinization. Anything superhuman may thus be called immortal, e.g., seers, rulers, and all things pneumatic (e.g., Christian knowledge in 1 Clem. 36.2). A supposed food of immortality or medicine of life is a common notion (cf. Sir. 6:16 and Ignatius Ephesians 20.2). From Theological Dictionary of the New Testament: Abridged in One Volume von Gerhard Kittel page 315 ---- In Greek mythology, Thanatos /ˈθænətɒs/[1] (Greek: Θάνατος [Ancient Greek: [tʰánatos]] "Death",[2] from θνῄσκω thnēskō "to die, be dying"[3][4]) was the personification of death. From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ThanatosThere are even Songs written about it! I'm lazy though so you have to take the googletranslate lyrics. Samsas Traum - Thanatan und Athanasia
