I am pretty sure I do.. I know what it's like to miss out on life.. thinking about my 200,000 previous incarnations Been there.. Done that Every incarnation.. you can do something cool That's good, have fun doing cool stuff. What else is life for.. Suffering? LOL! We have a physical life, in which we can experience many things. To expand the soul, you must go beyond the body to see and experience all there is to know.
Scion, even a homeless person, a slave, may break free if they release fear, or seek every possible avenue for escape. I have actually been homeless in this lifetime. It was by chance, a bad luck of health (very high risk pregnancy) and I climbed out of it. I fought tooth and nail. I was pro-active. I did what it took.
And if you are a slave, imprisoned via threat to harm of your life, you have nothing to lose by trying to get out. You can only improve your odds by trying.
And Zimmer, you may have had every conceivable life you could think of, every single experience, but every repeat of a LIKE situation yields different results. Having another wife and child does not guarantee that it will be exactly as the last. If you aren't at least trying to LIVE your life to the best it can be, then you are squandering opportunity to grow/learn as a soul.
That doesn't mean you need to go cliff diving like Oye here. Maybe it means picking up that cello you always wanted to learn. Or dismantling the DNA of a political figure who needs to go away. I mean...it's like a "choose your own story" book.
I don't necessarily want to illustrate a graphic novel, but I'm going to because I've never done it before.

As per soul ages and counts...if you can count them all, then you should have a memory of the first, some in between and the last. IMHO. I do recollect most of mine. I never bothered to count, nor would I want to. I don't even like counting. I see it in a 3D pattern and it's frustrating.

I simply think Zimmer and OYE are on opposite sides of the spectrum. Not all souls walk the path of the guru, nor walk it the same way. Zimmer follows the Eastern way. Alex...well Alex seeks to experience by understanding the entire range of experience life has to offer. Perhaps Zimmer is right and true understanding can only be gained by removal from the trappings of the material world. Indeed he probably is right. But on the other hand OYE does not necessarily have the same aspirations as Zimmer. He needs to strive for certain physical experiences because his soul has lessons to learn from those dreams and experiences.
