whoever is selected next won't be as psychologically 'tough' as her. So, while discouragement/demoralization/avoidance is a good tactic for one to take personally, it isn't necessarily the path that drips with nobility or courage or cunning. These are what I would call petty tyrants. And if they aren't ours, who's are they?

She did not do well. It was a fail on all fronts. When someone finally attacked her back after all the prodding she was doing she has gone into hiding and used every cowardly trick in the book to try and shift blame and rationalize the hypocritical behavior onto others.
She proved she can't take a fraction of what she tries to dish out. She failed.

It has nothing to with caring or sociopathy. No matter how hard you try to make it about these things. Caylus got into it with something that is not asking or listening to anyone else's opinion on the subject. It's not a court hearing with arguments and witnesses is. She started the actions that set the wheels in motion. We are just watching the inevitable conclusion. It's not something any of us can do anything about or interfere in even if we wanted to.

You should ask caylus what she did. If she says nothing you know that is not true. Things do not happen for no reason. I do not know what she did personally but I have seen these things go down many times before in all my years (decades) watching the world try to mix the internet and the esoteric. It is following a very familiar pattern to me. I could speculate on what she did but I will not. She can tell you if she wants. I do not belong to a site or forum. I post many places and always anonymously. I am aware of some of the names I've seen brought up in these conversations at least. Some of them are known entities if you will. I am old man with a voyeur fetish in these matters. I like to watch.

The difference is if you admit or not that you are running your opinion through a filter of caring about this person which slants it. There is nothing neutral about your position though you may think there is. I personally have no feelings about anyone involved. My fascination is with process. I have watched it unfold countless times and it never ceases to enthrall me. It is most definitely happening here.

My first impulse is to laugh but not in a rude way which is what it would be perceived as. I wanted to laugh at the futility, from my point of view, in what you said.
Of course you can be there for her, whatever that means. It's not a burden she can share and should not want to even if she could. This is not you or anyone else's mistake. She did this alone and will ultimately face it alone there is no escaping that.
The only person I know of in this current circle of influence who could help you you all seem to despise which is what makes this so interesting to me. The universe has a wicked sense of humor.
Some self awareness has just touched me and I realize I must sound very ominous to some of you reading. That was not my intent. I am just a watcher. I witness these things. It is what I am compelled to do and will always find myself in a position to do. Now, I am watching this.
I am just waiting for the next development as I am at a part of the process that excites me so joined the narrative briefly.
I will recede back into the shadows. I do not wish to cause anymore anxiety than is already present.
