When I tried to access those specific threads via my cell phone I could not as I would get spammed with ads that I was forced to click on....click click click, cha ching cha ching cha ching....$$$ Those types of ads were not on the normal posts, only the popular ones, which, of course, were the N threads, etc. There was a time when they used to delete them, or let them build up and delete them. Like a social experiment that they cashed in on, in probably more ways than one. That wasn't the only thing they were used for, but observing the dynamic with the advertisement features and how they worked, made a lot of sense, because there was a pattern to that too, just as there is at the end of the month with cops on the side of the road trying to ticket speeders..... |

I like to see it that the mistakes eventually unravel everything, so a click can be an investment that later nullifies believed gains. I noticed a dip in site traffic from the Alexa counter months ago. It rose again, but also at the same time there was word going around that they're generating a lot of traffic from questionable urls and if you look at some of the threads accruing more views you can see that connection more easily. If they get a little richer from scams here and there, that's one thing. But time you can't get back, and it's also harder to undo damage done to the body from years of these habits rather than better ones that take better care of oneself as well as others. The top gloppers do neither, they don't have bright futures ahead in their personal spheres as it is, let alone trends that will keep them further and further disappointed. Think about the location of Shalimar. These guys have their back to the edge of a cliff, figuratively and literally. They can scam all they want but they're still basically outcasts to the nation let alone the world. It doesn't matter if they're a sizeable forum in the CT world, they're still incredibly insular and that further reinforces their condition. Frog in a well, in more ways than one. Now that aside, revenue generation is a nice excuse to cover up for pride complexes and bruised masculinity. It shouldn't be necessary for me to explain in detail, everyone has been witness to it by now |

As you see that went down, as I presumed, recently. Now it is an elite club, because that is how the site is being sold now by the new forum moderator. They are the powdered wig wearers // elite, etc. - ironically, in my world, exactly what most of the visitors to that site used to be against, talk about irony. Is it really new ownership? I'm pretty sure I've missed reading a lot of the things others here have, so I'd say I'm more out of the loop. It is homogenized....you disagree with certain people you are banned, no explanation, no refund, period. That isn't the way it used to be. This is more over the shenanigans too. Basically to stay you have to be a good peasant and keep your mouth shut and learn how to bleat what the master says....no thanks. This was allowed for some reason. The rationale behind it is still dubious. Why intentionally pick on someone ? For entertainment? It sure was set up to be entertainment with comments such as "Dance narcissistic stalker Dance", "We are Watching" etc. Then when the person being picked on protested more gaslighting. This is what happened to me. All from the same group of people, obviously I cannot prove the AC's but in knowing certain patterns by certain people it becomes easier to spot because they are clumsy and stupid. Then that person, who admits to shenanigans and being part of it, M/FF, him, gets protected by Sr Mods, you can make an assumption about things. I made the assumption long ago that he owned the site. It is trickery and fuckery at it's most heinous and anyone who takes part in it is culpable. Why I referred to it as cultish because it fits the definition. |
