What is considered strange? I think strange is a relative term. What is strange may be completely normal to another. Another reason I am drawn to this thread. Speaking about the strange on a regular basis is what changes the strange to known.
I digress...
I personally have seen many things I consider strange. There are many things that I have seen that I feel defies the laws of nature and science. There are things that I have seen that are extremely strange but many would find normal.
One event that I believe the OP was searching for follows:
My husband and I were driving down a busy 4 lane road in town. It was rush hour and there were many cars out. There was a small traffic jam ahead of us that seemed to be stemming from several cars trying to turn right down a service drive. I turned into the left lane to pass, as I had an opening to pass. I am a defensive driver and tend to keep my eyes on cars in traffic jams to keep watch to split second changes in a drivers mind. (ie-switching lanes quickly). When I started to pass, I saw that two cars were turning right but there was also a tan car stopped in the road JUST ahead of the service drive. Upon seeing the stopped car, I noticed a man in a hat on a bike in the street. This is not uncommon in my area as many people use bikes.
What was strange was that he was in the middle of the road and not in the bike lane. The tan car started to swerve to the side to go around the bike. It was at that moment the mans head was obscured by the top of the car. When the car passed, the man on the bike was GONE!
No, I did not see him 'vanish'. No, there was no other place the man on the bike could go. Yes, my husband saw the man on the bike as well.
Traffic also thinned out immediately yet there did not seem to be anyone who noticed this man besides us. There were even people walking on the side walk that seemed oblivious. My mind could have rationalized seeing the man if it was not for the car that actually swerved to go around him. Strange enough?
