If you get a chance tonight, watch out for the moon - Venus shines brightly below, and for a short time you see both vertically aligned.

I'm banned since weeks at GLP, and the absence has lots of positive effects. I think it did fall together when I've started reading John Constantine, Hellblazer. I can recommend that series, as it contains a lot of what you and me can recognise as true, regardless of perceiving its content by the ole duality-bond way, www.readcomics.tv/hellblazer/chapter-1/fullreadcomiconline.to/Comic/Hellblazer/Issue-1?id=26481^both combined gives all issues. I'm at #229 now. 71 more to read, as the current count is 300.

The beginning of the Gregorian year 2017 marks two more New Years to come. The second is Chinese New Year, end of fire monkey and begin of fire rooster, Jan 28 until Feb 15, 2018. Furthermore, on March 20 ends the planetary year of Mars, and March 21 begins the year of the sun. Btw, I'm so glad about the built in auto save of posts!!!

There are plenty of other New Years to, I'm just sticking to three. In general, the prospects are good. Intensity will certainly not decrease, though there will be a lot of power to actually achieve stuff, and having the determination to do it. I won't link to horoscopes, but to actively get your ass up and learn how to deal with being a procrastinator (I am a strong one) I strongly recommend reading this article, then part 2, and maybe some additional stuff, just for the instant gratification factor ~ waitbutwhy.com/2013/10/why-procrastinators-procrastinate.htmlIt's both a tough and funny read. The author knows exactly how's it going. waitbutwhy.com/2015/03/procrastination-matrix.htmlwaitbutwhy.com/2013/11/how-to-beat-procrastination.htmlwaitbutwhy.com/2014/06/taming-mammoth-let-peoples-opinions-run-life.htmlwaitbutwhy.com/2014/10/religion-for-the-nonreligious.html

On procrastination... I know you prefer reading but this video (posted on pg1 of Random Gratitude thread) deals with an aspect of procrastination that I find true & very noteworthy. (See below) He talks about a sweet spot of procrastination, that procrastination can actually be a tool to boost creativity, the why & how, etc. Sure, a vice on productivity, but can be a virtue for creativity. The key is being quick to start & slow to finish as that allows the time to be creative, as opposed to merely procrastinating by not starting, and not thinking about a project. Of course some things require little to no creativity.

I'm watching this, and had a major sync right now, around 6:25 starting. Before I opened the video (its brilliant, many thanks!), I've opened a link for posting this, right after I've read your post, ISB ~

I coined it as incubation time too, see the Da Vinci example. I didn't knew of precrastinators yet, and as he explained that, I've recognised myself also. When I was an apprentice (age 16 to 20, I'm 39 now), there was a deadline 18 months apart. I did 12 tasks at once, a requirement to attend to tests, so that was precrastination in excellence. I knew I would rather spend the immediate time before the deadline and tests with other practical stuff, and learning theoretical stuff too. In general, if it's stuff from outside I'd rather not avoid, for the sake of enjoying my current life without any panic monster and loss of comfort, I'm on top and up to date. But, there are some ideas I'm procrastinating for a while - some of them since 4 years, the start of mobile internet for me -, and this year I want to start. I'm fine with starting quick, finishing slow, but there's also the perfectionist aspect plus the panic to start in the first place. I'm self employed since 13 years, so yeah, things get done successfully, yet, there's a spectrum of improvement that starts pressing me. Change of habits, exploring new paths, that's what I want for this year

Change of habits, exploring new paths, that's what I want for this year Oh that's just filled with awesomeness, great response. The thing he didn't mention that I also find procrastination helpful with is motivation, believe it or not. If I may take a different approach, one which has both served me very well interestingly enough but also not so well at times, I personally just will start mentally or even take baby steps to get my mental wheels turning, but I'll let something incubate in my mind until the last minute and then I'll do a cram session on steroids which could last days, and I've done some really potent work in that manner. It doesn't always work however, and sometimes I fall short. I generally do my best work when I am immersed in something so if I'm not forced to be immersed it can appear my work ethic is poor but when immersed, few cat keep up. It also helps to actually give a fuck and often I don't have many to give. I developed that in high school because I slept in class most of the time. In Art for instance, we'd have a week to do a project and I usually couldn't even decide what I wanted to do until day 4, yet I'd still end up with a project that appeared as though it had been worked on for a week. I also played many sports, and I learned to be a clutch player, in the moments that matter, better to come back strong than to blow a big lead. Your last sentence deserves fireworks in so many ways! Ditto that for 2017 Best

Ditto that for 2017 Best Thank you ^-^ When immersed it´s super, but to get there is tricky at times, and that´s what deadlines are for. Last minute creativity boosts give flow, and are a good justification for whatever `wasting away`during the time before switching from mentally activity to actual output. I think it´s actually widespread, but not popular. Another story from school, sort of mini version what you´ve described: when we had tests in form of writing an article, the topic was handed at the start of the hour, which meant a block of 45 minutes. It could take me 40 minutes to form the perfect opener sentence, and then I would write very fast enough stuff to fill the ordered page count and get the best, or second best grade (that was in German, my native speak). Another approach of me is procrastinating stuff while getting other stuff done I didn´t touch yet, or needs finishing. Though, today was just another day of wasting away, because I was productive the day before, and it was the last day of a short holiday. Indeed, I´ve watched a bunch of youtube videos shedding light on another facet of a topic I´m very much into (why women ruin their health for looks), and can add to the long list of stuff I would like to write about, for spreading awareness that less is more. The power do do something derives itself from the ability to do nothing, or just being plain lazy. The usual cyclical stuff, and it´s also a task to figure the patterns we´ve got weaved into us, and re-develop our own.

^this is most likely a cover version, while the one below is the more dubbie original.
if you don't know dub, it's time you get familiar with it.
it nourishes the soul and keeps you warm when temperature is cold.

So there's an online sex toy shop in my city called dildoking, and they really make hilarious ads. Today I saw this one ~ It says "one of 150 sex dolls - the one with the biggest asshole - also useful: over 100 gags"

Just a few minutes ago I triggered an autoban at GLP, but I was too lazy to speak very coded.
anyway, anyone monitoring the thread Mad World there, here's the post I typed, now with links included ~
I don't even know if you'll notice this post here, Seer, but somehow you and everyone else I've meant with it will get it somehow anyway - thanks to aether, and I speak of it as realm.
It's the plasma we all are swimming in, actually ^_^
