Coffee fasting is real, yo
How I did it in the clinic
preparation: be in outmost or very good mental and physical health. For example sport, eat well etc etc during mid summer.
When your health tank is fueled and filled to the achieveable max:
1. *optional?* go into ketosis first... low carbs, high healthy fats (nuts, hawaiian coconut oil etc), body adjusted protein needs
2. water fasting... for this you need a calm, clean, secluded and sober yet familiar surrounding(s)...
drink plenty, add some fruit juices and take in enough salts (stone salts like from mountains or unpolluted dried seas)..
start with intermittent fasting, elongating the periods of refusal of solid foods..
-side effects: light headedness, hunger pangs, slight delirium (salt helps with this), headaches..
-getting more out of the fast: create personal rituals and incorporate meaningful habits, repeat and strengthen them with timed or intuitive repetition
safety nets: have people check in on you, complete seclusion is dangerous.. also keep equipment ready to check for health stats, like fever, blood pressure, heart rhythm etc...
3. "coffee fasting".. uhm.. so after the water fast, intermittent fasting, you will get this renewed sense of energy.. getting high on life so to speak... if you have been an avid caffeine consumer all your life, then this will strengthen and amp up the high:
start with small portions of preferably high quality coffee... fresh, unoxidized ground or whole beans to ground up.. have clean machine or peculator to make the coffee.. experiment with strength, readjusting to coffee can bring on tremor, nervousness, sweating and headaches.. add for example soy or almond milk to make it more digestible.. after a fasting period dairy products can be hard to digest yet, so cow products are bit discouraged..
highly encouraged: during the fasting period, spare energy by slowing down basic processes of the body.. such as, learn breathing techniques, holding in your breath for long period, slow breathing etc. for at least one week.. learn which physical poses of the body and contact points calm you down, or even almost put you to sleep.. learn how to stay awake during these deep states... lastly, program yourself with some recognition points to snap back into full awareness and wakefulness, for example with loud music, tapping sounds, bells or whatever works for you..
extra's: sage, incense, anything with strong smell but still natural
for optimal effect: avoid anything with poisonous additives, possibly especially fluoride
KEEP SOME KIND OF DIARY, as this might become a very special experiment and phase to go through, and you can't possibly remember everything you will go through.. also it takes its toll and you might meet a lot of resistance from others who don't agree with what you're doing, so better you trust only in a few solid people as you try this out...
