You have a few choices.

You could accept and embrace knowing you were chosen by someone for something.  Be the best damn subject you can be in this event.

You could get upset and go down a self destructive path suffering along the way. 

You could get as far away from it all as you can but given the state of mind you would be experiencing at that point, you would never trust anyone around you so I don't think it would be a fulfilling life.

If shit is a deep and real as you say, it would be difficult to change your situation. What happens is you make choices. Who do you want to be? Where do you want to be? What are you going to do?

Pick it, own it and roll
